"My tongue is smiling." ~ Abigail Trillin

Some local places that make my tongue smile to share will my fellow tac-towners and Seattleittes:

1. Sweet Iron
Located right across from the Seattle Symphony in Downtown Seattle, Sweet Iron Liege waffles are an explosion in my mouth! Hitting all my tounge g-spots, these are not your traditional Denny's waffle. These waffles made fresh to order are caramelized with a torch, and come with the most amazing toppings. My FAV?! Brie, Basil, and bacon. Delish!

2. Aladdin Gyro-Cery

I love Gyros, and have tried tons of Gyro places in the Tacoma/Seattle area. HANDS DOWN, Aladdin's (located on the Ave in the U district) is the best. Not to mention they are open til 2am (3 on

Saturdays!)

3. MSM DELIeli

No one would argue-MSM is a complete dive. Reminds me of a mini mart. However, their subs speak for themselves. Packed DAILY for lunch, this place gives eating a sandwich a holy experience. HUGE 13' subs served with a fresh crunchy pickle, choose from Mikes Deluxe, French Dip, Philly Cheesteak..Hell, you can

have whatever you want on it. They have it all!

4. Pesos, Queen Anne, Seattle

Hot, exciting bar by night (where I once hang out with Dave from Lady Antebellum), and a incredible happy hour, it is still only the breakfast that has won my heart! Have a mexi-morning affair with their mouth watering eggs benny!

5. The HOBNOB

Best Farmer's Scramble in TOWN!

716 6th Ave Tacoma, WA 98404

Wishing every guy could be like bob marley..

Kelli...dreaming

"Everyday the school makes lunch for us. Today they decided to serve chicken feet soup... Actual clawed chicken feet in some type of chicken broth. Not good"-m.g.

Right now I am talking to my friend who is teaching in China! As he tells me about his 5$ gourmet meals, students that clap for him every time he walks in to the classroom, trips he takes, people he sees...my mind starts wandering...
Oh the places I need to go! Among them? CHINA, India, Africa, South America, Italy (and again, and again and again), Australia, Greece.

I think its only appropriate to start my first blog with my favorite quote about experiencing the world, and loving life's voyage...

"Then pray that the road is long.
That the summer mornings are many,
that you will enter ports seen for the first time
with such pleasure, with such joy!
Stop at Phoenician markets,
...and purchase fine merchandise,
mother-of-pearl and corals, amber and ebony,
and pleasurable perfumes of all kinds,
buy as many pleasurable perfumes as you can;
visit hosts of Egyptian cities,
to learn and learn from those who have knowledge.

Always keep Ithaca fixed in your mind.
To arrive there is your ultimate goal.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.
It is better to let it last for long years;
and even to anchor at the isle when you are old,
rich with all that you have gained on the way,
not expecting that Ithaca will offer you riches.

Ithaca has given you the beautiful voyage.
Without her you would never have taken the road.
But she has nothing more to give you.
And if you find her poor, Ithaca has not defrauded you.
With the great wisdom you have gained, with so much experience,
you must surely have understood by then what Ithaca means"

I'm Kelli, I am in love with love, I have seen the world, and I dream of seeing the rest of it.
